The incredible friendship between a toddler and her garbage man has now reached colossal levels of cuteness, and all it took was a sweet treat to get the ball rolling.
A 3-year-old girl named Brooklyn has been anxiously waiting at her window once a week to wave hello to one of her best friends, a garbage man.
For Brooklyn, who lives in Bloomington, Illinois, trash day is the best day of the week, because she gets a visit from her friend, Delvar Dopson.
The greeting from afar lasted for more than a year. But, on April 7, on her third birthday, Brooklyn ventured outside to give Dopson a cupcake.
Dopson upped the ante, returning the favor tenfold by bringing Brooklyn several belated birthday gifts.
“Brooklyn, who brought you all this stuff ?” her mother asks her on camera as she unwraps her presents.
The birthday of Brooklyn’s mother fell on a Thursday as well, and Dopson gifted his favorite family with a tray of purple and pink cupcakes.
“Guess what? It’s our favorite day of the week: Thursday!” Dopson says in a video taken from his truck, with the cupcakes visible in the background.
In one photo, Brooklyn stands next to her friend while holding a multi-colored sign that reads “Thank You Delvar.”
We are so grateful this video is going viral again and we caught it!
Surprise, surprise, we also discovered some cute tweets that we wanted to share.
"It's about recognizing your gift and serving it to the world… Give a piece of kindness." #delvardopson #kindnesstochildren
