On Thursday morning’s The Breakfast Club radio show, Tracy Morgan showcased the power of prayer and his faith in the God.
During the on air interview, the actor/comedian discussed life, his career and the car accident that left him hospitalized and one of his closest friends dead.
A truck driver’s fatigue led to the June 2014 crash that severely injured Morgan and killed fellow comedian James McNair. Kevin Roper reportedly drove 12 hours just to get to work, where he was scheduled to work an additional 14 hours. Morgan and his friends weren’t wearing seat belts, exacerbating their injuries.
Morgan said God has a way of showing you … He’s patient, He’ll show you … If you want to know, God will show you. If you want to know, just pray! Get close to him, “God, show me. Show me.”
To close out his guest gig, he offered up a prayer.
“Jehovah, please watch over us. Please protect us. Please give us the strength. Please give us love. Please show us a different way in this world. Please guide us and protect us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
