As the Syrian crisis continues, the outlook for the people of Aleppo is increasingly bleak, as airstrikes and barrel bombs rain down.
The White Helmets, a group highlighted in a powerful documentary, say 87 people have been killed by recent airstrikes. They’ve also released a breathtaking :16 second video showing what they see on a daily basis: the deadly aftermath of airstrikes on civilian areas.

The latest count, released on Thursday by the Syrian Civil Defense volunteer group, said at least 22 people were killed and 50 have been reportedly injured from airstrikes and bombings, a travesty for a nation that has already witnessed thousands of deaths and has had millions forced out into neighboring Turkey, Lebanon and beyond.

How incoming U.S. President deals with this crisis remains to be seen.
Assad has referred to Republican presidential elect, Donald J. Trump as a “natural ally,” a Portuguese broadcast station by the name of RTP, published in an interview conducted with the disputed leader.

New York Times reported that, President al-Assad “welcomed the prospect that Mr. Trump would make good on his campaign promise to focus exclusively on fighting the Islamic State and to align the United States with Russia, a close ally of Mr. Assad’s, in doing so.”
Trump, for his part, has said “Assad is bad” while adding the rebels backed by the Obama administration “could be even worse” and warned of a proxy war with Russia.
