Becky Yonker got engaged on Valentine’s day of this year, a time normally filled with merriment and feverish wedding planning. But, her moment was occupied with chemotherapy visits, medical appointments and attempts at recuperating in between. So, hospital staffers at the Levine Cancer Institute in North Carolina came up with a solution to make her dream day happen sooner rather than later.
It made for the surprise of a lifetime when they offered her and her fiancé an all expensed paid wedding.

The Michigan native was diagnosed with a stage 4 brain tumor one year into the couple’s courtship.
On Sept. 22, the wedding announcement came in the form of a birthday card addressed to her from the woman’s supportive medical team.
The ceremony was held at St. Mary’s Chapel in Charlotte and the reception was at a local brewery.
The bride also received complimentary make-up and a DJ. In response to the community’s outpouring of love, Jarrod told Today.com, “I was at a loss for words.”
“I can’t believe all of those people donated everything just for us and all the friends we had fly in from all over the country.”
A nurse that works with Becky, named Serena Perera explained that, “Becky has such a good heart, this was the least we could do for her.”
The only member of Becky’s family that was unable to attend was her brother because he is currently serving in Afghanistan.
