President-elect Donald Trump doubled down on his campaign promise to make people start saying “Merry Christmas” again. He made the promise back in 2015 at an Iowa, when he vowed to ditch the political correctness and greet everyone with “Merry Christmas” instead.

After seeing several “Merry Christmas” signs in the audience today, Trump was reminded of his campaign promise and addressed the enthusiastic crowd by saying “Merry Christmas everybody!” which was received with thunderous applause.

Trump, just as he did back in 2015 in Iowa, slammed stores and towns that have all the decorations of Christmas yet refuse to declare it. He once again insinuated he’d make department stores call the holiday what it is.
“They’re going to start putting up ‘Merry Christmas,'” he told the crowd.
