UPDATE: 11:53am: 24-year-old Berlin terror suspect Anis Amri is dead after a shootout with police on Friday- in Milan, Italy. Details from The Guardian:
Amri was stopped by two police officers in a routine check in the Sesto San Giovanni neighbourhood on the outskirts of the city and was asked for his documents, according to Minniti.
He reached into his backpack, pulled out a gun and a shootout ensued in which Amri was killed, Minniti said. One officer was also injured and was recovering in hospital.
A 36-year-old officer named Cristian Movio sustained a non-life threatening wound to his shoulder. Another officer, Luca Scatà, a 29-year-old who had been on the job for nine months, then shot and killed the suspected terrorist.
Amri had been on the run after murdering innocent bystanders at a Christmas Market in Berlin. It has since been learned he pledged his allegiance to ISIS, declaring to avenge muslims killed in “airstrikes” by western countries.

The man has gone by six different aliases in the past and there is a $100,000 reward being offered to help find him.
On Monday a truck plowed into a crowd of holiday shoppers at a Christmas Market in Berlin and ISIS is claiming sole responsibility for the act that took 12 lives.
The driver behind the incident is said to be a “soldier” of ISIS and has been identified as a 24-year-old Tunisian man that is at large and likely armed, according to ABC News.

Originally, a 23-year-old Pakistani man was believed to be the culprit behind the Berlin attack but the young guy has been let go by German Police because of insufficient evidence, media outlets reported on Tuesday.

Original reports released by the National German Press on Monday afternoon stated that the attack was thought to be one linked to terrorism.

Media outlets have reported that more than 50 people have been injured and at least nine people have been confirmed dead by The Washington Post.

Police officers at the scene believe that this is most likely a terrorist attack, and a manhunt is underway for the driver. The incident occurred in Breitscheidplatz Square near the Kurfuerstendamm Avenue in west Berlin.
