Actress Patricia Heaton has made it no secret over the years that she’s a fierce proponent of the unborn, routinely using her massive platform to express her pro-life views.
Most recently, Heaton, who stars in “The Middle” and was also a fixture in the iconic comedy series “Everybody Loves Raymond,” sent out a series of tweets expressing her belief that “life begins at conception.”

Heaton, an outspoken Christian, recently shared a Jan. 5 tweet from the March for Life that read, “Pro-life is pro-woman. We are FOR women at every stage in life.” To that, the actress added, “Yes please,” along with a number of hashtags, including #prolife, #prolifegen and #prolifeprowoman.

The next day, Heaton tweeted another message that pointedly drove home her views.
“Life begins at conception,” she wrote. “Said every scientist ever. #ProScience #ProWoman #ProLife.”

Of course, this is hardly the first time Heaton has made her perspective known.
Back in May, the actress faced scrutiny after sending a tweet that offered support for a pro-life pregnancy center; rather than lash out at her critics, Heaton calmly responded to various critiques.
And Heaton, a mother of four, told TheBlaze in a 2014 interview about why she so openly defends the unborn.
“It just bothers me so much. It’s almost a natural — it’s almost a reflex now,” she said. “Once you have kids and you know what it feels like to be pregnant and you know what it feels like to have that person growing inside of you, and the beauty of it, it’s just not a holistic thing to do.”
That said, Heaton noted that the issue is tricky, as many women have had abortions, encouraging people to take great care with what they say on the matter, as they “could be really, deeply affecting somebody within listening distance.” In the end, though, she told TheBlaze she feels compelled to speak out.
“In the Hollywood community, I’m the only one I know who says anything about it,” she said. “I feel like I’m supposed to.”
