Some quick-thinking members of a Bible study group in Cleveland, Ohio, reportedly saved a woman from being kidnapped last Wednesday night when two masked and hooded men attempted to drag her inside of a vehicle.
The harrowing moment came as the 21-year-old woman, who attended the Bible study in Cleveland, Ohio, was leaving the event.
As she got into her car, the assailants reportedly approached and attempted to force her into the back seat — but rather than comply she put up a fight, screaming, kicking and attempting to run, WJW-TV reported.
One of the men grabbed her coat, though, and started dragging her up a neighbor’s driveway. But she just kept screaming, alerting her fellow Bible study participants, who bolted out the door and reportedly scared away the would-be captors.

The incident has left locals feeling rattled, as the crime unfolded in what has been described as a good neighborhood. That said, a recent bank holdup, among other events including a mugging, have left some feeling fearful, WJW-TV noted.
“It could have happened to anybody and it’s unfortunate that it happened to somebody I know, and somebody who was just coming here to go to a Bible study at the church,” Sam Hartman, a neighbor, told the outlet.
Hartman added, “It’s just sort of evidence of the brokenness of our world.”
Police didn’t find any evidence at the scene aside from footprints, and are currently looking for those responsible, Cleveland.com reported.
