When tens of thousands of pro-life Americans flooded Washington, D.C., on Jan. 27, in an effort to defend the lives of the unborn during the annual March for Life, one woman says her family witnessed something profoundly encouraging.
According to a woman who called into a recent episode of the “Catholic Connection” radio program, a pro-choice protester was so moved by the pro-life demonstration she had showed up to picket that she ended up laying down her sign and joining the marchers.

A woman named Maryann spoke with radio host Teresa Tomeo, explaining that, while she wasn’t at the 44th annual March for Life, her daughter and husband had the chance to attend — and she shared the amazing moment they observed.
“Their group were ahead of the [March for Life] banner, and they were actually witness to three young people — two guys and one woman — who were carrying pro-abortion signs,” Maryann said. “And they got to the point in the march where there were photographs and banners of pictures of abortions, and a video of an abortion, and the women stopped dead in her tracks, she started to cry, she put down her sign, and she picked up a pro-life sign.”
At that point, she said her husband saw the two men abandon the woman. The story left Maryann imploring listeners not to ever think “this march doesn’t change hearts,” adding that pro-life marchers approached the woman and offered up their love and support, as Live Action News reported.
