Millions of Americans start each year by setting goals — a mixture of hopes, dreams and aspirations aimed at helping them become the best versions of themselves. And former star of “The Hills” Heidi Montag is no exception, with Montag recently opening up about her personal struggles with fear, her 2017 resolutions and her goal of finally getting pregnant.
In an exclusive video blog for Faithwire, the reality TV star offered up a heartfelt congratulations to her former MTV co-stars Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port, who shared their own pregnancy announcements within weeks of one another earlier this year.
On New Year’s Day, Conrad shared news about her baby bump via Instagram and Port told the world via WhitneyPort.com.
“It seems like 2017 is the year to get pregnant. A huge congratulations to my two former co-stars Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port who are both expecting,” Montag said in her video blog. “I think pregnancy and children are one of the biggest blessings that God gives us in our life. So congratulations! You are both going to be amazing moms.”
Watch Montag reveal her personal goals and offer up positive comments to her former co-stars below:
It is no secret that Pratt has been planning for years to expand her family, but due to a series of personal traumas and setbacks it hasn’t happened yet. But, based on what Pratt has shared in the fall of 2016 with Faithwire, the couple is praying for some special baby related news this year.
In the two minute Faithwire vlog, Pratt did acknowledge that there could be room for tension, saying seconds after her complimentary words to Port and Conrad, “On that note I have obviously been planning for my own family and I am very excited for them and it stirs up excitement in what is going to be coming up in my life hopefully soon too. And I think … it’s important to not compare your life to other people.”
2017 is going to be a year of new beginnings and redemption💋🙏🏼💫

But despite her own quest to start a family, Montag also spoke about the importance of having faith in God’s timing.
“Obviously I have been wanting children and I am excited for it, but it hasn’t been the right timing for me,” she said. “So, I think in life it is important for us to pray and prioritize God’s timing in our lives and not compare (our life) to other people.”
She added, “Everyone has different things going on” and even Godly missions to serve, so there is no reason to worry and compare.
At the end of last month, Heidi and Spencer finished “Celebrity Big Brother UK,” a popular reality TV program.

The duo guest starred alongside other celebrities like Ray J and Stacy Francis.
Montag recorded her vlog for Faithwire at the end of January, shortly after she returned from filming the show, explaining how she plans to move forward with God’s purpose and her New Year resolutions.
“It is easy for us to have resolutions and to be different people and for all these exciting things to happen and when it doesn’t happen, it’s easy to get discouraged,” she said, going on to discuss her struggles with fear and anxiety. “I continue to battle with fear and worry and it is biblical not to worry and let it strangle us.”

In the end, Montag said she’s hoping to encourage others to forge on with their own goals and resolutions in an effort to be “the best possible you,” and again urged viewers not to compare themselves to others.
“It is great when people get things and I think it is important to be truly happy for them and not to compare yourself,” she emphasized. “2017 is going to be the best year.”
