Move over Morgan Freeman. There’s another Hollywood actor playing the voice of God.
Kevin Sorbo, star of “Hercules” and “God’s Not Dead,” portrays the voice of God for the Breathe Bible,” a new version of the scriptures that promises a “dramatic audio experience.”
And it’s a project that will truly invigorate listeners, as Sorbo recently told CBN News.
“This isn’t boring. We have an orchestra in the background. We have sound effect,” the actor said, noting that the sounds help take listeners deep into the events that unfolded in the scriptures. “When you think of the crucifixion of Jesus, you are going to hear the nails going in. You are going to hear the crying, the cheering, the laughing, the praying.”
Sorbo continue, “It is a whole different way to hear the word of God.”
Watch the actor discuss the project below:
Sorbo is among 90 performers who lended their voices to the Breathe Bible. You can find out more about the project here.
As previously reported, Sorbo and his wife, Sam Sorbo, have teamed up with radio and TV personality Sean Hannity for a new faith-based movie project titled, “Let There Be Light.”
Sam Sorbo recently told Faithwire during a sit down interview that the feature film, which is set to come out later this year, is about “the world’s greatest atheist,” who “has a near death experience and comes back with a new view on life.”
Kevin Sorbo added that the team behind the film is hoping to “strengthen the choir” with the storyline, encouraging Christians to get out and share their faith. He added, “I’m hoping to reach out to the agnostics out there.” Read more about the film here.
