We already brought you singer Beckah Shae’s rendition of Ed Sheeran’s mega-popular hit “Shape of You” — and now we’re highlighting her cover of yet another hit song: Martin Garrix and Dua Lipa’s “Scared to be Lonely.”

Shae tweaked the original lyrics to reimagine what the secular song would sound like as a Christian-themed hit, invoking “eternal” themes to transform the tune; she published her performance of the song on YouTube earlier this month.
“Take my soul, my body — purify my heart and mind,” she sings. “You’re the only reason I’m holding onto life, set apart to be holy.”

As Faithwire previously reported, Shae has been performing Christian music for the past decade, forming her own record label alongside her husband Jack Shocklee.
