Their hit TV show my have finally ended, but the Robertson family is keeping busier than ever.
Jase and Missy Robertson, stars of “Duck Dynasty,” shared the secret to holding on to their values while finding success in Hollywood, with the couple telling Faithwire about the importance of having a firm foundation rooted in faith.
“I think once you have a foundation of what’s important … our relationship with God, our understanding of who Jesus is to us, he’s our Lord … and the relationships that are found because of that,” Jase said on Monday night during a Facebook Live from their home in Monroe, Louisiana. “That’s what really brings true joy and happiness.”
He explained that, before the show, the family didn’t have a lot of money, but were content because their foundation was firmly set.
And even after the fame came into play, Jase said nothing changed much inside their home, despite the mass notoriety that was unfolding in the outside world.
Missy expanded upon Jase’s comments by explaining the importance of perspective in addition to that firmly cemented foundation. Since well before “Duck Dynasty” — which went off the air earlier this year — she said the family was focused on sharing and living out their Christian faith.
“You have the foundation, but we also have the eternal mindset,” she said. “So, it’s not just about this life, it’s not really hardly anything about this life. It is about eternity and pushing as many people possible there.”
