A couple who love and trust in God have been blessed enough to enrich the life of a young waitress at Bar Louie, 21-year old Brianna Siegel.
Her manager told CBS 2 that Brianna, who has been waitressing since high school, “comes in every day with a positive attitude.” That “positive attitude” went far enough to get the attention of a couple in their 20’s, who wish to remain anonymous, who sat in her section.
After they ordered two burgers and two drinks, which amounted to $20, the woman asked Brianna if she believed in God, and handed her something, asking that she not open it until she left the parking lot.
It wasn’t until Brianna was at her boyfriend’s house that she remembered it, and figured it could be a prayer card, since the couple seemed very religious. Instead, it was a check made out to her for $1,200. There was also a note of encouragement for Brianna with it.
The couple had told CBS News over the phone that “God had told them to give the money to a random stranger who had touched their hearts.”
Their generous gift seems to have touched Brianna’s as well. She says the encounter shows the reality of there being “true caring people out in this world.” She continued to point out that “nowadays you don’t find a lot of them. They’re young and they still have their whole lives ahead of them too and they want to help me. They don’t even know me.”
Brianna plans to use the money for nursing school and a new car. “I pray you’re the best RN out there,” the note read, with a P.S. to “whenever it gets hard, know God got you.” The Bible verse the note suggests is 1 Peter 5:7, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you,” which are words for anyone to live by and find comfort in.
