Despite facing unimaginable and seemingly insurmountable circumstances in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, a group of gospel singers broke out in praise and worship music at a Texas convention center on Tuesday night, offering evacuees some much-needed inspiration during ever-difficult times.
It all unfolded at the Lone Star Expo Center in Conroe, Texas, when Victoria White, Marquist Taylor and others started an impromptu performance. The touching moment — which included some absolutely stunning vocals — was captured on social media, as The Daily Mail reported.
Joni Villemez-Comeaux, a shelter volunteer, recorded the video and uploaded it to her Facebook page. That clip, which was uploaded on Tuesday night along with a line of text that read, “So this just broke out in the shelter,” has already attracted nearly 10 million views.

Villemez-Comeaux explained the touching moment in a separate post:
Thank you, thank you, THANK you for all the messages, texts, calls and PM’s. I haven’t read them all yet but I can certainly feel the love. I have a Honey Sunshine that loves me and I got to spend the day being of service to God’s displaced people due to Hurricane Harvey. I had the opportunity to see up close and personal the resiliency of the human Spirit alongside THE most compassionate volunteers. Then walks in Victoria White and friends. This woman’s powerful voice, singing praise, lifted the Spirit of all within earshot. Hard to believe but close to a million people have already viewed this beautiful Soul spreading her gift. You’re such a blessing….
The spellbound volunteer also wrote a message to White, commending her for spreading joy and her “love of Jesus” throughout the shelter. White, too, took to social media to discuss the uplifting moment.
“Y’all, THE GOSPEL IS GOING VIRAL!!! This blows me AWAY (and that’s no easy task)!” she said. “I had no idea this was being recorded, but God had a plan! Not only did He want to Love on those gathered in Lonestar Expo Center who suffered loss at the hands of Hurricane Harvey, but He wanted to love on people across the world who were dealing with their own personal storms!”
