Just when you thought the Sept. 23 prophecy drama had concluded without incident, one of the guys behind the ordeal has reportedly come out with a new prophetic date: Oct. 15.

David Meade, the man who made international headlines over his claims about Sept. 23, now says that Oct. 15 will be “the beginning of the world’s destruction,” The Washington Post reported.
Meade, author of the book, “Planet X – The 2017 Arrival,” said on his website that this new date is the start of the biblical tribulation period, a 7-year period that many Christians believe will precede the end of the world. As a result, he called Oct. 15 the “most important date of this century or millennium” and offered up his theories on what he believes will soon be coming.
It all gets a bit convoluted, but Meade tied in the Great American Eclipse that unfolded this past Aug. 21, calling it a time marker and a countdown to October; he also said that Sept. 23 was merely a day of “signs.” Here’s how he summarizes it all:
When the birth of Jupiter from Virgo occurs, we also see the fulfillment of Genesis 3:15 and Revelation 12:4 when great and fearful signs in the heavens are given. This birthing occurs according to the latest astronomical data available on October 15, 2017. This is when the King Planet – Jupiter, crosses the womb region of Virgo.
This is the day of the onset of the 7-Year Day of the Lord, or Tribulation. If we use astronomical calculations and the Book of Revelation only, and no extra-Biblical source such as visions, this takes us to the most important date of this century or millennium – October 15 this year of 2017. The American Eclipse of August 21, 2017 is the TIME MARKER – a 40 day countdown – the Sign of Jonah, to the beginning of the month of October. October is the month to watch!
The major signs that converge on September 23 are indeed amazing, but those are celestial events. They are time markers. The mainstream media states that something visible will occur on these dates. I don’t believe that. The actual event of the beginning of the Tribulation occurs on October 15. That’s when the action starts. Hold on and watch – wait until the middle of October and I don’t believe you’ll be disappointed.
The Oct. 15 purported start date for the tribulation is once again sure to spark debate and frustration among Christians who will point to Bible verses that say the date and hour of Christ’s return cannot be known. Of course, setting a date for the start of the 7-year tribulation period is seemingly a new tactic among predictive eschatological endeavors that have all, to date, failed miserably.
Either way, Meade encouraged people to pick up a copy of his book to learn more about his theories.
As Faithwire previously reported, claims surrounding Sept. 23 were widely discredited in the Christian world, though some believers came to wonder if the date would actually usher in the rapture (the belief that Jesus will take Christians up into the skies before the terrors of the end times kick into high gear), or some other prophetic event.
Some of the theories revolved around “Planet X” (also known as Nibiru), a debunked “planet” that doesn’t exist, but that continues to emerge in various end times theories. NASA has actually covered the topic on its website, considering that the purported planet has been evoked in past proclamations about the potential catalyst for Earth’s destruction.
“The story started with claims that Nibiru, a supposed planet discovered by the Sumerians, is headed toward Earth,” NASA noted back in 2012. “This catastrophe was initially predicted for May 2003, but when nothing happened the doomsday date was moved forward to December 2012 and linked to the end of one of the cycles in the ancient Mayan calendar at the winter solstice in 2012 – hence the predicted doomsday date of December 21, 2012.”
Clearly, the Earth didn’t end on any of those dates, though Meade’s book, “Planet X – The 2017 Arrival,” has recently been credited with helping fuel speculation once again about the purported planet. The book’s description reads:
This book is a compendium of information from every sphere—astronomical, scientific, the Book of Revelation and geopolitics. It contains absolutely amazing revelations that direct us to one precise point in time in 2017. Planet X is a cryptogram and this book contains the keys necessary to decode it. When everything is considered together, it fits together perfectly like a watch. The existence of Planet X is beyond any reasonable doubt, to a moral certainty. We examine proofs of its existence. … I have seen Planet X on the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) through WorldWide Telescope. This is a NASA infrared-wavelength astronomical space telescope, launched in December 2009. It is currently in the constellation Pisces, and is clearly marked as an Unidentified Object (but quite plainly visible dark red star) known as IC 5385.
As for Sept. 23, Faithwire covered the date in detail. You can read about all that here, but to summarize: The central claim was that the alignment of the constellations, sun and moon would somehow be a celestial representation of what’s described in Revelation 12.
Again, it’s complex, but we hash it all out here.
It will certainly be interesting to see what Meade and others say once Oct. 15 comes and goes…very likely without incident.
