People around America are continuing to rally in prayer around a 22-month-old boy named Logan James Garner, who recently suffered a serious brain injury and is in danger of losing his life.
As Faithwire previously reported, the boy’s grandfather, James Garner — a pastor at More to Life Ministries, Inc. in Florida — released a Facebook video on Sunday asking the world to pray for the child. That video has been making the rounds on social media and has inspired scores of invocations.
James Garner’s sister, Joy Garner Whitt, posted a series of updates over the past 24 hours that both thank Christians for continuing to rally in prayer and also offer updates about Logan’s very serious condition.
“Logan is being lifted up in prayer all over the world. God will he honored, glorified and praised through all of this,” she wrote on Tuesday. “Right now his blood pressure is low and his blood is clotting too quickly. The [doctors] have him on two different BP meds.”

A message that she shared on Monday offered additional detail surrounding Logan’s current status, noting that doctors performed a surgery to remove part of the boy’s left skull so that his brain clot could drain; Logan’s brain stem is also severely damaged.
“They did an MRI and they found a large area of dark matter on the right side of the brain. This indicates severe brain damage,” Whitt wrote. “And he has had several strokes on that side. One pupil has been responsive but the other has not.”
She said that the boy’s father, Zachary, and grandfather, James Garner, are “broken,” but that she and the rest of the family are holding on to hope.
“We are asking for a miracle that, not only will Logan survive, but that God will totally heal his brain and there will be absolutely no damage,” Whitt said. “Our God is able. Our God can do it. But most of all we are praying that God’s will be done and He gets the glory through it all.”
The family has not yet revealed the cause of Logan’s injuries, but dad Zachary Garner did post a Facebook message on Monday that encouraged people to be patient, adding that details will soon be revealed.

“I don’t tell you today for out of respect to the officers looking into this case, I do not want to derail the investigation,” he said. “Just know that I am getting your messages and they do help me keep faith. And thank each one of you for praying for my son.”
Please continue to pray for a miraculous healing — and for the family during this troubling time.
