James Garner, pastor at More to Life Ministries, Inc. in Florida, delivered a heartfelt prayer on Wednesday for his 22-month-old grandson, Logan James Garner, who experienced a life-threatening brain injury over the weekend and is battling for his life.

Garner said that “the next 24 hours are critical” and that he and his wife will be fasting and praying from Wednesday evening through Friday; he invited others to do the same, but asked that the public continue to pray for Logan.
The preacher also offered an update, explaining that the toddler is “about the same” as he has been over the past few days. Still, the family is holding out hope that God will perform a miracle.
“Logan actually means ‘little warrior,’ and he is a warrior,” Garner said. “[God’s] fighting for Logan.”
He proceeded to offer up a heartfelt prayer, asking God to perform “a Lazarus-sized miracle” over the next 24 hours.

As Faithwire previously reported, people around America are continuing to rally in prayer around Logan. Garner first released a Facebook video on Sunday asking the world to pray for his grandchild. That video quickly made the rounds on social media and has inspired scores of invocations.
James Garner’s sister, Joy Garner Whitt, posted a Facebook update on Tuesday as well, noting that Logan has a fever, but that the swelling in his bran had gone down a little.
“He is showing a little more brain activity and was moving around some so they put him in an induced coma for the next 48 hours to monitor brain activity and allow him and his brain to rest,” she said. “The Drs were not expecting Logan to make it through the night Sunday night, but the fact that Logan is still here is a miracle in itself. He has a long road ahead.”

An earlier message that she shared on Monday noted that doctors performed a surgery to remove part of Logan’s skull so that his brain clot could drain; Logan’s brain stem is also severely damaged.
She said that the boy’s father, Zachary, and grandfather, James Garner, are “broken,” but that she and the rest of the family are holding on to hope.
“We are asking for a miracle that, not only will Logan survive, but that God will totally heal his brain and there will be absolutely no damage,” Whitt said in her earlier post. “Our God is able. Our God can do it. But most of all we are praying that God’s will be done and He gets the glory through it all.”
The family has not yet revealed the cause of Logan’s injuries, but dad Zachary Garner did post a Facebook message on Monday that encouraged people to be patient, adding that details will soon be revealed.

“I don’t tell you today for out of respect to the officers looking into this case, I do not want to derail the investigation,” he said. “Just know that I am getting your messages and they do help me keep faith. And thank each one of you for praying for my son.”
Please continue to pray for a miraculous healing — and for the family during this troubling time.
