On Tuesday, the University of Alabama football team was invited to visit the White House after their national championship win. The Alabama Crimson Tide football team was able to meet with the president and received a tour the White House.

During the visit to the White House, punter, JK Scott asked President Trump if he could pray for him.

Press Secretary for the White House, Sarah Huckabee Sanders also tweeted about the momentous occasion, saying she was a big fan of the prayer. Sanders tweeted, “As a proud Arkansan, I’m not an Alabama football fan, but I was a big fan of this prayer for @POTUS. #SEC Always #WPS @ArkRazorbacks”

President Trump also showed his excitement about meeting the players via Twitter, tweeting, “Today, it was my great honor to welcome the 2017 NCAA Football National Champion, Alabama Crimson Tide – to the White House. Congratulations! #RollTide”

The official Alabama Football Twitter account also sent out a message about the players visiting the White House which read, “Champions visit the White House #RollTide #NationalChampions.”
