A series of bombs have either been detonated or discovered in New York and New Jersey over the weekend. Thankfully there have been no fatalities that have been documented in either state.
Earlier this morning, ABC News reported that, authorities are urgently searching for a “person of interest” in connection with the Chelsea, New York City bombing, which left 29 injured.
The bombs have put residents and the nation on edge, as officials like the Governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo categorizing it as “obviously an act of terrorism.”
28-year-old Ahmad Khan Rahami is a man wanted by the New York Police Department (NYPD) for questioning because he is believed to be the male appearing on a surveillance tape documenting the Saturday night tragedy.
He is 5’6 and 200 pounds.

Four blocks away from the original site, a second bomb was found and dismantled before it went off in the area.
As of now, the Federal Bureau for Investigation (FBI) is searching the address of a home liked to a person with a similar name in Elizabeth, New Jersey, ABC News stated.
On Monday morning a 911 alert was issued in connection to the whereabouts of Rahami.
In a story issued earlier, ABC news stated that bombing incidences in New Jersey and New York are possibly linked.
On Saturday morning, hours before the Chelsea bombing, an explosive device went off in a garbage pail in Seaside park, New Jersey.
The local community was expected to hold a 5k run and walk to benefit military soldiers.
On the site, investigators found three pipe-bomb-type devices wired together near the boardwalk, authorities said.
Two federal law enforcement officials told CNN of the situation, an initial examination showed the devices were rudimentary, with some type of timer, and only one of them detonated.
In Elizabeth, New Jersey, five devices in a backpack were located in a waste basket on Sunday, one did go off when a robot was attempting to dismantle it in the early hours of Monday.

News sources have reported that the bombings experienced in both states have similarities like cell phones being used as device timers.
News outlets have also said that these are “likely” acts of terrorism and linked to a terrorist cell.
