This yoga studio just wowed us with their ability to put a Psalm in their yogi step during their Sunday “yoga church” class.
At Christian yoga studio Beyond Yoga, founder Keleah Anderson keeps her doors open on the day of rest to accommodate individuals that find the word of God through their “son salutations” a word she swaps in to replace the term “sun salutation.”
Anderson wasn’t originally sure what to do about holding a class on this religious day.
She said, “So the question was do we close our doors on Sunday? And then it occurred to me well why would we do that if we can provide a place where people can come and worship God with their whole totality — their breath, their movement, their mind.”
Adding that, “We read the Bible and we pray and we use praise and worship music and we raise our hands and we fold them and we bow down. It’s difficult, active church.”
Sounds like it and we can all show some gratitude for that.
