Legendary Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and current NFL commentator appeared on Fox & Friends this morning and inevitably was asked to weigh in on the Colin Kaeperinick situation. Bradshaw didn’t hold anything back:
“I do have a problem when people in this country don’t respect our flag and national anthem. All you got to do is look around – this country’s getting worse and worse and more and more immoral and we’re rotting from within,”
Bradshaw added that while he isn’t necessarily a fan of Kaepernick’s method, he is sympathetic to the issues he is raising.
“I don’t mind what Colin is doing, it’s bringing attention to it. I do have a problem when people in our country don’t respect the flag and our national anthem.”

Bradshaw quickly moved on, however, and expressed frustration with the fact that people seem unable to speak freely when it comes to Christianity.
“All great empires die from within. We can’t talk about Jesus. We can’t mention that anymore. So we say ‘I’m religious’ – because if we say Jesus, you automatically are pigeon holed and kicked off the desk.”
“The two vice presidential guys are going at it and they are both saying what? ‘We’re religious’. What does that mean – you’re religious? Everybody is religious.”
