Fallen New York Fire Department (NYFD) Deputy Chief, Michael Fahy was honored in the best way possible as his team, The Flushing Faithful played the Mets’ on Wednesday night in a wild card game.
So what went down? Well, his son Michael threw out the first ceremonial pitch in honor of the the 44-year-old NYFD member, who lost his life late last month when he was struck by debris from an explosion at a suspected drug grower’s home, New York Daily News reported.

Fahy was first honored in a moment of silence at the game.

But, of course social media did not let us down and provided some epic b-roll shots before Fahy jr. took the field. It was an awesome moment that gave us a lot of good feels right before the pitch perfect one.

Little Fahy’s aunt, Deirdre Brett said,“My nephew Michael, he really is the biggest Mets fan.”
Adding that, “This was a huge night for him and for the family. The smile that the Mets put on those children’s faces, we’re very very grateful.”
