In a very motherly moment, a woman used her families heartache to show the world what they shouldn’t do and that’s reach for your phone while driving.
Her teen son dropped his phone behind a car pedal, continued driving, and reached down to grab it.
The problem being, he took his eyes off the road. Of course the young adult thought it was for seconds but in reality it was much longer than that.
The high school senior was hurt and rushed to ICU.
Thankfully, the driver hit was unhurt. She also happened to be a nurse and stayed with the student until the ambulance came.

We decided not to identify the young man because we are not sure of his age nor do we have permission to release it from his parents. The mother also did not identify herself.
