A group bystanders in Florida jumped to action when they saw a car burst into flames with the driver still inside.
On Sunday, almost a dozen people in Palm Bay witnessed as the car crashed into another vehicle before careening off the road and plunging into an embankment, WESH reported. The car landed on its side and soon caught fire, police said.
Some people ran to a nearby hotel to grab fire extinguisher while others formed a human chain from the road to the car. With the car still burning, the good Samaritans pulled the driver out and linked arms to help get him out of harm’s way.
The man was taken to a local hospital with only minor injuries. The incredible act of heroism was caught on cellphone video by a witness, who called the accident “horrific” but said that she witnessed “the most amazing” people in Palm Bay.
