Some players, particularly 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, have been making headlines this year for kneeling during the national anthem. Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins is using his time on the field to make a statement – albeit a much different one.
Cousins will wear blue and white cleats with the writing, “until all are free!” at his next game, this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, to raise awareness about the seriousness of human trafficking.
To show off his new footwear, Cousins took to social media on Tuesday. Saying, “This week’s game cleats have arrived! Look for them on Sunday! We will keep supporting the incredible work of @IJM ‘until all are free!'”
Also providing the hashtag, “#mycausemycleats” with it.
The Washington Red Skins player also made a note of it via Twitter.

The fancy new footwear is supporting International Justice Mission (IJM), a Christian based non-profit working across the world to combat modern day slavery.
The NFL pre-approved “Cause Cleats” falls in line with the one week only period that allows the pro players to support social and humanitarian causes they care about, Relevant reported.
