Some protesters have drawn the attention of police, but according to reports on the ground they are the usual suspects – anarchists groups looking to wreak whatever havoc they can. For the most part, there are hundreds of thousands waiting to witness history.

It’s still unclear who many of the violent protesters are, but clearly some came ready to do battle, equipped with gas masks and all. The reporter says this is ‘really unusual’ when in actuality it isn’t – far left protesters and anarchists routinely take the opportunity of mass protests to smash things.

The transition of power has successfully taken place, and President Trump got right to work signing several orders immediately. Including one to allow Ret. Gen. James Mattis serve as Defense Secretary, as the current rules only allow someone who has been retired for 7 years, while he’s only been retired for 3 years.
