The Free Hugs Project is in Washington, DC for the inauguration of Donald J. Trump.
It’s run by Ken Nwadike, and he’s made some noise recently by inserting himself in the middle of heated protests and trying to calm people down – usually by offering a hug.
“We’re here in Washington D.C. and stuff’s already getting out of hand,” Nwadike said. Protesters with masks covering their faces can then be seen walking briskly away from a sea of police officers.
With all of the protests expected at the inauguration today, it’s no surprise that Nwadike decided to be in Washington D.C. to march among the crowds.
As he began broadcasting live, he and several other people were running, with Kwadike shouting repeatedly “Keep your eyes closed!” while claiming police were firing pepper spray.
Security for this event is incredibly robust each and every year, but authorities are on high alert this year given all the controversy surrounding President-elect Donald J. Trump.
Watch the events unfold in the video below. And pray there is no violence today.
