Faithwire recently reported the emotional rescue of a six-year-old boy who had been abducted by ISIS over two years ago. Now, there’s a stunning video showing the boy being reunited with his family for the first time in over 2 years.
The boy’s parents are still missing, and the details of where he’s lived over the past months are somewhat sketchy. He was living with a family who allegedly purchased him from ISIS, which is an odd enough circumstance in and of itself. Beyond that, not much is known.
The Free Burma Rangers and others engaged in negotiations to convince the family it was time to let the boy go.
The initial man in this video bought the boy from ISIS – but is NOT his father – can be seen with conflicting emotions.
The boy seems almost as if he’s in a state of shock. You can sense the trauma he’s been through just by looking at his facial expressions.
Though there are still many questions surrounding the details of his story, what’s certain is the boy was finally reunited with his grandmother The Christian group Free Burma Rangers contributed to the operation that saved this boy from a life in captivity, away from his family.
During the exchange the boy can be seen cycling through a wide range of emotions, as one moment he appears to be smiling and laughing while using a digital device…
Then, suddenly, he bursts into tears.
Here is the exact moment the young boy is reunited with is family.
Continued prayers for the boy’s parents, whose whereabouts are still unknown. And prayers that he can finally find some stability and begin the long road to recovery since suffering the horrific trauma that so many have endured under the callous reign of ISIS.
