**UPDATE: Initial reports of Tiffany Trump being “shunned” at the event have been disputed, with some claiming the seats next to her were only vacant for a few moments before being filled again. However, Whoopi Goldberg was not aware of that fact and still offered to show grace to the President’s daughter in spite of their political differences.
An unlikely voice of reason stepped up to defend one of President Trump’s children, who was being targeted and isolated during New York’s popular Fashion Week.

Although Whoopi Goldberg has been and remains an outspoken voice opposing President Trump and his policies, she defended Tiffany Trump after she received some cruel treatment from liberals in the fashion industry.
Former style columnist for the Wall Street Journal Christina Binkley tweeted that “Nobody wants to sit next to Tiffany Trump” as Philipp Plein’s show on Monday.

“…they moved and the seats by her are empty,” Binkley tweeted with an accompanying photo of Tiffany.

“You know what, Tiffany? I’m supposed to go to a couple more shows…I’m coming to sit with you,” Goldberg said during Wednesday’s broadcast of “The View.”
The 61-year-old continued to say that “nobody” talks politics at shows anyway.
“You’re looking at fashion!” Goldberg said. “She doesn’t want to talk about her dad. She’s looking at the fashion!”
Goldberg called the incident “mean” and said she’s “been there.”
Tiffany thanked Goldberg on Twitter.
Thank you @WhoopiGoldberg I'd love to sit with you too! 😊
