It’s been a busy week for the Oscar-winner. On Wednesday, Ali and wife Amatus-Sami Karim welcomed their first child into the world – a daughter named Bari Najma.
He was in absolute awe at the miracle of life.
“It’s been remarkable…” Ali told Entertainment Tonight before the awards ceremony started. “It’s been such a blessing to be a father.”
Ali continued to marvel over the strength of women and revealed that his wife did not have an epidural during the birth.
“Hands down, women are the toughest beings on the planet,” he said matter-of-factly. “I’m not saying that to be cool. I don’t care if you have children, choose to have children. I don’t care if you took every pain medication in the world to have children.”
