British Prime Minister Theresa May initiated the process of the United Kingdom’s split from the European Union known as Brexit. In a letter, May announced a two-year plan that is to culminate in Great Britain’s departure from the EU.
2. President Trump is ‘Ready to Make a Deal’ Regarding Health Care
President Donald Trump told senators Tuesday evening that he has plans to “quickly” announce an “easy” healthcare deal to replace Obamacare after the GOP’s initial healthcare plan failed to pass the House of Representatives last week. Trump says the new plan will take Democratic interests into account, but with a Congress deeply divided over the GOP’s desire to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, it’s unclear how this new legislation will fare.
3. North Carolina Transgender ‘Bathroom Bill’ Survives Another Attempt to Repeal
After another attempt to repeal North Carolina’s much-contested House Bill 2 that requires individuals to use public restrooms and changing facilities appropriate to their biological sex, the so-called “bathroom bill” remains in tact. The latest effort to repeal the bill comes after the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced plans to boycott the state of North Carolina until 2022 if the bill was not repealed. The decision to uphold HB2 is expected to cost the state an estimated $3.7 billion, but defenders of the bill have deemed it a price worth paying for the safety and religious liberty of North Carolina residents.
4. Trump Signs Environmental Executive Order
EPA Chief Scott Pruitt said Tuesday that President Trump’s latest executive order to cut back on Obama-era fossil fuel regulations “sends a very pro-growth, pro-environment message.”

5. Undercover Journalists Facing Felony Charges for Planned Parenthood Videos
The two pro-life journalists who released a series of videos in 2015 exposing Planned Parenthood’s practice of selling baby body parts currently face 15 felony charges for “violating the privacy” of the abortion giant. Journalists David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt received a felony charge for each of the 14 people they secretly recorded, plus an additional charge for criminal conspiracy.
