Professional athletes are watched on and off the field by fans of all ages.
This past weekend, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Mohamed Sanu attracted the attention of a family seated directly behind him on his flight to New Jersey. The former Rutgers football player was going to the Garden State to attend his alma mater’s spring game earlier this month.
A family seated behind Sanu on his short flight from Atlanta was taking note of his every move. To Sanu’s surprise, the mother of the young boy seated behind him left him a note explaining what they thought of his behavior.
First, it started off by with,”You don’t know us but we wanted to thank you.”
“Our son sat behind you on this flight and watched you. He saw you studying your plays, watched you make healthy choices with you snacks, food and drink. He watched how polite you were to everyone. He is only 10 but just made an elite hockey team and we are on our way to training in CT.”

Towards the end, she said, “You are an inspiration to children and for that you should be proud! Thank you and best of luck! The family that sat behind you :)”
In response to the unexpected gesture of kindness, the athlete said this, “This definitely put a smile on my face. ☺️ the little things.”
So far the Tweet has received over 17,000 likes and over 4,000 retweets.
