Clartetta Kimp, a mother of two, gives God all the credit for her son’s educational success.
Carson Huey-You, 14, is considered a child prodigy who first discovered his passion for math at the age of 3. Now slightly more than a decade later, he’s graduating from Texas Christian University (TCU) with a major in physics and two double minors. A feat that most people find difficult to believe because of his age and stature.

Carson stands only at 5-foot-2 and still enjoys hanging out with friends his own age in high school and church. So when people first meet him they can’t believe their eyes.
One of Carson’s classmates told NBC Dallas, “I’ll never forget walking in. [Carson] said in Chinese that he was a junior, and I was like no, that couldn’t be right. And then he turned out to be cool too. Like, he’s not just a genius. He’s also awesome.” And now a campus celebrity!
But this coming fall, Kimp’s youngest son, Cannan Huey-You, 11, will take over his brother’s undergraduate spot and will become the second youngest person to attend TCU, obviously his brother was first. Cannon’s goal in college is to major in astrophysics and engineering, he told NBCDFW.
Kimp told WDEFM, “When people meet [my sons], you know what they say to me? ‘They’re so normal!'”
Kimp credits God for that blessing and her two children give her the credit, WDEFM reported.
Carson will start graduate school at TCU in the fall.
