NBA star Kyrie Irving recently delivered the gift of a lifetime to his dad, teaming up with his sister, Asia, to give their father’s home in New Jersey a major makeover.
The Cleveland Cavaliers’ star’s efforts were documented on Ashton Kutcher’s online TV show “My Houzz,” with Irving explaining in the episode that his dad, Drederick, has “sacrificed a lot” for his family and was deserving of the epic surprise.

“He ultimately gave up his dream to play basketball professionally [to support his family],” he said. “He really was super dad.”
So, Irving and Asia decided to renovate some key areas of their childhood home, Cleveland.com reported.
“It’s his first house. I think he wants it to be his only house,” Irving said. “This is where I grew up, and I respect him even more for wanting to keep it. But I know there’s always things he wants to improve on in the house.”
In previewing the renovation, Irving said his dad had an inkling that he and his sister were preparing something special for him, though he said he didn’t know “exactly what” that might be.
