Anyone who doesn’t believe that every child needs or wants a two-parent household should watch an emotional video take at a New York wedding over the weekend.
In the video, a Marine’s 4-year-old son wells up with tears as his future stepmom reads her vows.
“I may not have given you the gift of life, but life surely gave you the gift of me,” said Emily Leehan to her new stepson, Gage, as he stood next to his father at the alter.

Over the weekend, Leehan, a senior airman in the Air Foce, married Marine Sgt. Joshua Newville at Quincy Cellars in Ripley, New York, ABC News reported.
Leehan had written two sets of vows: one for Newville, and another for Gage.
Gage became emotional during Leehan’s vows and embraced her as he cried in response to the vows, and the two then share a hug and a kiss.
After the ceremony, the couple told Gage that he did “awesome” during the vows, and the rest of the evening went off without a hitch.
Gage, an avid “Star Wars” fan, donned a Darth Vader mask as he entered the reception with the rest of the bridal party to the movie’s theme music.
The newlyweds will return to Join Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurts in a few days.
