Celebrities are using their fortune and ability to influence the masses to help victims of Hurricane Harvey.
Hurricane Harvey caused historic flooding in Houston after it made landfall late Friday night as a Category 4 storm. On Wednesday morning, the tropical storm made landfall again in southwest Louisiana.

Tens of thousands of home have been destroyed, and several thousand people rescued from flood-ravaged neighborhoods. Now-homeless victims are piling into overcrowded shelters.
Several celebrities are facilitating a sense of charity by vowing to donate huge sums of money to the Hurricane Harvey relief effort. At the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, Katy Perry even urged attendees and viewers alike to donate to the Red Cross.
“We’re praying for your safety in the days to come and stay with you as you rebuild, because we’re all in this together,” Perry said.

Sandra Bullock
A-list actress Sandra Bullock has pledged $1 million to the American Red Cross to help victims of the storm, E! News reported.
Bullock has a home in Austin and has quietly donated more than $6 million to charities over the years.
“There are no politics in eight feet of water….I’m just grateful I can do it,” Bullock said in a statement. “We have to take care of one another.”
The Kardashian-Jenner Family
The Kardashian and Jenner women will donate a collective $500,000 to the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army, Kris Jenner wrote on Instagram.

“We have been watching the heartbreaking footage of the catastrophic flooding in Houston and our hearts go out to the people of Texas,” Jenner wrote.
J.J. Watt
Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt has already raised millions through his fundraising effort through YouCaring.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the fund had raised $5.7 million.

Kevin Hart
Comedian Kevin Hart challenged his fellow celebrities to donate to the cause, tagging prominent names like Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld and Justin Timberlake in his #HurricaneHarveyReliefChallenge.

Hart announced that he would donate $50,000 to the Red Cross himself. He also set up a fundraising account on Crowdrise, which had raised almost $1 million by Wednesday afternoon.
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez
J-Lo and A-Rod announced that they will donate $25,000 to the Red Cross for the hurricane relief fund.

Johnson will donate $25,000 to the victims of Hurricane Andrew. He urged others to donate what they can to the relief fund.

Lady Antebellum
Lady Antebellum announced that all the proceeds to their merchandise from its Dallas show will be donated to hurricane relief funds.
The country bad said their “thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by the hurricane.”
Beyonce
Texas native Beyonce told the Houston Chronicle that she is in “constant prayer” for her hometown.
“I am working closely with my team at BeyGOOD as well as my pastor (Rudy Rasmus at St. John’s in downtown Houston) to implement a plan to help as many as we can,” the R&B sensation said.

It is unclear how much money Beyonce has donated, given how much Beyonce’s time itself is worth, it’s safe to say that it’s a lot.

Iconic singer Cher didn’t forget about the animals affected by the storm. Her donation will go to help rescue and shelter animals in Texas, she said.
Cher has lived in Galveston and Burleson, Elle reported.
