Amid the mass chaos and devastation that Hurricane Irma has ushered into the Caribbean and Florida, one well-known actress decided over the weekend to go out of her way to help lift peoples’ spirits.
In fact, Actress Kristen Bell (“Frozen”) showed up on Saturday at Meadow Woods Middle School in Orlando, Florida — a location that is being used as a shelter — and offered an impromptu performance, E! News reported.
In addition to singing “For the First Time in Forever” from “Frozen,” Bell encouraged the shelter audience to hunker down and remain safe during the storm:

Bell, who became stranded in Florida while filming her latest movie, also shared her weekend journey in a series of Instagram posts, in which she said she was encouraged to see so many people helping one another.
“Just doing our best and trying to stay positive but cautious, and trying to help those who need help prepping,” she wrote. “Every person I passed today was assisting someone else — #neighborshelpingneighbors — it was beautiful to see. Sad that a hurricane has to bring out the best in everyone, but happy that the community will be holding hands through this.”

Bell also spent some time with senior citizens who had been evacuated to the Walt Disney World Resort, where she is staying, quipping that she’d be spending a few hours calling Bingo.
“We are gonna make lemonade outta Irma,” she wrote.

E! News reported that Bell has also been active in recent days in helping “Frozen” co-star Josh Gad’s family members in Florida find refuge; she reportedly did the same for actress Jennifer Carpenter.
