Despite getting hit with two devastating hurricanes almost back-to-back, most of the news coming out has been overwhelmingly positive. Faithwire has reported extensively on the good people have been doing – the helpers, looking out for their fellow man in a time of need.
It is heartwarming, especially in this time of division. But there will always be evil in the world, there will always be those who succumb to temptation. That was true in the aftermath of Harvey and apparently Irma, too.
The Miami Police Department addressed those would-be looters on Facebook, showing them what will happen if they run around trying to take advantage of others during the storm:

Ouch. They are not messing around!
Of course, the citizens of Texas were not messing around, either. Armed civilians took watch over stores to make sure looters knew what would happen if property was stolen while people were busy trying to stay safe from a massive hurricane.
Billionaire Richard Branson’s son Sam Branson has also issued a warning about the possible chaos and “civil unrest” unfolding in the midst of the storm. From Express:
“Hearing stories of what the place looks like, and what going on its just really horrible to think about.
“The thing that upsets me the most is the breakdown of values, the way people are having to behave to survive – well not having to behave but some are choosing to do to survive.”
He added there was 250 marines off the cast of BVI, in Virgin Gorda, to help with the “civil unrest”.
Continued prayers for those impacted by the storm.
