There are few emotions quite like watching your child succeed.
From the moment they learn how to walk, to their first words, to heading into school and making grades, there’s an indescribable joy that comes along with each milestone your own son or daughter achieves. For a lot of parents – especially dads – seeing your little compete and win in sports is particularly enjoyable.
All those warm days spent in the yard playing catch, or driving to practice, or working out – all bring valuable life lessons. But who doesn’t dream of the ‘what ifs’ that could happen – what if my little guy becomes an NFL star? And what would it feel like if they did make it big and succeeded on the biggest stage?
Well, Jake Elliott’s parents know exactly what it feels like, and thankfully someone recorded their emotional reaction. Elliott is the rookie field goal kicker for the Philadelphia Eagles, and he lined up a 61-yard attempt for the win against the New York Giants yesterday afternoon.
It’s hard to imagine how nervous they were before that kick – but it’s a little easier to imagine when you see the pure joy, relief and emotion these proud parents are clearly overcome with. WATCH:

What a beautiful moment caught on camera – seeing parents overcome with emotion at watching their once little-guy basically becoming part owner of Philadelphia this week.
Amazing!
