Actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus revealed on Thursday that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
“[One] in 8 women get breast cancer,” she said in a statement. “Today, I’m the one.”

Louis-Dreyfus, who has starred in “Seinfeld,” “Veep” and “The New Adventures of Old Christine,” added that she’s lucky to have loving friends and family — and good health insurance.
“The bad news is that not all women are so lucky, so let’s fight all cancers and make universal health care a reality,” she concluded.
