A man who witnessed the horrific attack on Sunday night in Las Vegas that unfolded during a country music festival revealed the acts of bravery and heroism that unfolded amidst the chaos, including how his own sister risked her life to protect him.

“My sister and I, we started running to the left and every time they shot, we took cover,” Taylor Benge told CNN on Monday morning. “My sister, being as noble as she, she actually threw herself on top of me and was saying, ‘I love you Taylor, I love you.’ And I’ll never forget that.”
Both siblings survived the horrific ordeal.

Benge also said that he saw people helping others, including a cop whom he saw take cover and aim a gun back in the direction of where the shots were being fired.
“I saw a bunch of people trying to help,” he said. “Unfortunately, I also saw a lot of loved ones with their significant others holding them as they passed.”

As Faithwire previously reported, the horrific situation unfolded in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sunday night after a gunman open-fired at a country music festival, killing at least 50 people and injuring more than 200 others.
The violent incident unfolded outside of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip during the Route 91 Harvest Festival. According to CNN, witnesses said that shots were fired from a high-up location at the hotel.
