Singer Katy Perry was reportedly in tears after she brought a little girl on stage during a recent concert in Kansas City, Missouri, and asked the tween to make a wish.
Zoe, 12, went on stage at Perry’s request after the singer said that she wanted to bring up someone from the audience.
Then, Perry asked the question that yielded a surprising and touching response — one that got everyone, including Perry, pretty emotional.
She asked Zoe to make a wish, to which Zoe said that she wanted her 17-year-old sister with autism to stop getting bullied by the kids at her school, KCTV-TV reported.
“Katy Perry started tearing up,” Zoe said of the singer’s reaction to her wish.
Perry, who was clearly impacted, also pledged to visit Zoe’s sister’s school.
“I care about my sister a huge deal. I would die for her,” Zoe told KCTV-TV. “Words hurt more than physical fighting. Words can sink into someone’s heart.”
