Actor Remi Adeleke — star of “Transformers: The Last Knight” — recently shared his uncommon story of faith, military service and finding his way into the entertainment industry.
Once a Navy SEAL, Adeleke recently told The Real Hope Dealer’s Kyle Michael Miller that he was born in Western Africa and lived in Nigeria until his father died when he was 5 years old.
From there, his mother, him and his brother moved to the U.S.
Unfortunately, Adeleke said he made some regrettable decisions as a young adult living in the Bronx, including selling drugs, stealing from his mom and other such infractions — until something changed dramatically.
“In July of 2002, that’s when I was laying in my bed and I heard this voice kind of guide me into joining the military,” he said. “I truly believe it was the voice of God. He knew what I needed in order to get me to where that it to be.”

Adeleke served more than 13 years in the military until he felt God telling him to move on. Eventually, he married a woman named Jessica and the two built a family — but not without some intense struggles.
After his military career, a “dramatic turn” led Adeleke into the entertainment industry. At the time, he was working as a motivational speaker when a casting agent approached him and asked him to be an extra on “The Last Ship.”
Adeleke agreed, though he didn’t enjoy the experience and rebuffed the casting agent when she returned with another opportunity. But when he found out it was a Michael Bay film, he agreed to the one-day job.
And that one day turned into three weeks, with Adeleke landing a big role in “Transformers: The Last Knight.” Clearly, God had some amazing plans for his life, with the actor proceeding to share his faith with the masses.
