It’s hard to recall a moment similar to this one, where humanity is actually somewhat on display during a White House Press Briefing.
Sara Huckabee Sanders accomplished just that when she interestingly asked reporters in attendance to say something they are thankful for before asking their questions. A simple yet brilliant idea that definitely seemed to break the ice a bit and warm up the room.
Some reporters chose the snarky path, trying to get some slams in on President Trump. Others, however, took full advantage of the opportunity to give genuine thanks, and it was a rare nice moment.

Regardless of how you feel about Trump, it’s hard to argue that Sanders has done anything other than a spotless job as press secretary. Especially considering this is a press corps in full attack mode, looking for the slightest mistake to dive into and hammer all week long.
Certainly not an easy task, especially when your boss is constantly sparking fires on Twitter, giving the press constant fodder to pepper Sanders with each briefing.
This moment, once again, showed her intelligence. Well done!
