A video showing a U.S. Navy sailor surprise her mother on Christmas has been watched millions of times in just a matter of days.
On Christmas Eve, Twitter user @chey$ posted a minute-long video of her mother learning that her older sister had come home from the holiday.
“Surprised my mom for Christmas, she looked in the mirror and saw her present,” the Riverside, California resident wrote.
The video begins with the mother sitting down on the couch, bowing her head and closing her eyes as one of her children holds up a long, skinny Christmas gift in front of her.
“I just want to make it really special for you, and I want you to start from the top and rip it,” her daughters instructs to her as her other daughter, dressed in her military uniform, walks in from behind.

The mother then stands up and begins to unwrap the gift, which reveals a body-length mirror.
At first, she doesn’t react to the gift. But, that changes the moment she lays eyes on the reflection. She jumps from the couch screaming before retreating to a corner, wailing in happiness. The U.S. service member then approaches her, and the two embrace.
“Surprise!” the other family members start to yell.
As of Tuesday afternoon, the video had been seen more than 10 million times, proving that there’s not much the internet loves more than some good ol’ Christmas cheer.
And it looks like @chey$ will be joining her older sister in the Navy. In August, she posted photos to Twitter of her swearing into the Navy, her sister and mother standing proudly on either side of her.
