Vanessa Trump, wife of Donald Trump Jr., was taken to a New York City hospital on Monday after she opened an envelope filled with white powder.
The nature of the substance in the envelope is unknown, but the letter was addressed to her husband, son of President Donald Trump, WABC-TV reported.
The envelope reportedly arrived around 10 a.m. and was subsequently opened. The outlet reported that Vanessa Trump and two others were decontaminated and brought to a hospital to ensure their safety, though they reportedly appeared to be fine.
This isn’t the first time one of the Trump family members has been sent an envelope with white powder. WPIX-TV reported that Eric Trump, one of the president’s sons, received a threatening letter last year that was accompanied by mysterious white powder.
It does not appear as though the substance is dangerous, nor did anyone appear to be negatively impacted by it. Vanessa Trump and other residents were taken to New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center as a precaution, according to NBC News.
