Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee labeled actor Jim Carrey a “Christophobe” after the comedian posted an ugly portrait of Huckabee’s daughter, press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, on social media:

Huckabee was quick to respond to Carrey on Twitter, and he did not hold back, calling him a “pathetic BULLY,” as well as a “sexist,” “hater” and “bigot.”
Pathetic BULLY, sexist, hater, bigot & "Christaphobe" @jimcarrey attacks @PressSec for her faith; what would be hypocritical Hollywood reaction if he called someone a "so-called Muslim" or "so-called Jew?" #classlessCarrey https://t.co/HCqHoER0Ru

Carrey responded to the comments in an interview with the progressive online talk show, The Young Turks:
“I am so gratified by the reaction to my little drawings,” he said. “It is the job of a political cartoon to vex those who abuse power or enable those abuses.”
He continued:
“This administration has been lying to the American people from day one while plundering the country and debasing our values. And those who cover for this shameful mobster of a president are putting makeup on a melanoma and telling the cancer patient that everything’s fine. Monstrous? You bet!”
Carey has fiercely voiced his opposition to Donald Trump ever since he won the presidency, even depicting him sailing through a sea of “lies,” as shown below:

But Mike Huckabee isn’t the only one who is outraged. Many have taken to social media to express their dislike of Carey’s distasteful artwork.
“Sarah is a beautiful person who has a real life! Real children who love her, real friends and family who respect her, and real values, and a God who loves her!” one Twitter user responded. Others referred to the image as a clear example of bullying.
“This is one more reason that I’m done with Hollywood. It’s ok to be mean and hurtful as long as it’s to someone you disagree with, right?” another questioned. “BTW, this is a classic example of bullying. But again, it’s ok as long as its’ someone you disagree with, right?”
“That’s a self-portrait of Jim Carrey,” wrote another. “Sarah Huckabee is beautiful, smart and tough. Conservative Women are powerful.”
