Today, parents across the world are pulling their children out of school to protest the vulgar Sex Ed programs that are being implemented in school systems internationally. From the United Kingdom to Australia to the United States, parents are calling for schools to tone down their Sex Ed programs.
In Charlotte, North Carolina, the conservative blogger behind the movement is helping to coordinate the national protest against the “radical, graphic, taxpayer-funded, gender-bending sex education.”
Elizabeth Johnston, also known as the “Activist Mommy,” is a homeschool mom but is urging parents with children in the public school system to protest by pulling their kids from school today.
“I represent the 2 million homeschoolers in America who come from tax-paying households that are disgusted by the teaching of anal sex, oral sex and masturbation during school hours,” Johnston wrote to the Observer.
California School District Says Parents Can’t Opt Children Out of Controversial Sex Ed Courses
Some schools are deeming the Sex Ed classes as mandatory, and have told parents they cannot excuse their children from them.
Ronald Wenkart, the Orange County Department of Education general counsel, told parents they could not remove their kids from the classes. If they had a problem with what was being taught, which included abortion and homosexuality, they could talk to their kids outside of school on their own time.

Fed Up Parents Organize ‘Sex Ed Sit Out’ to Protest ‘Gender-Bending Propaganda’ Taught in Schools
Johnston points out that this is a nation-wide sit out, that people from all over are protesting, including, Sacramento, Calif.; Spokane, Wash.; Bloomington, Ind.; and Austin and San Antonio, Texas, according to Johnston.
“Most parents are very uncomfortable with the teaching of graphic sexuality and gender-bending propaganda in public schools at taxpayer expense,” Johnston told Faithwire in an email. “Furthermore, radical activists have begun teaching students to question their gender, thus placing an increasing number of students at risk for suicide, since 40% of gender-confused individuals attempt to commit suicide.”
Johnston points out that it is extremely crucial and pertinent that parents are aware of the curriculum their children are being taught because most are not. She said it is important for parents to combat the problem and they must be combative in protecting their children from the sexual exploitation of the schools:
“Would you allow Planned Parenthood into your home to teach your child about abortion? Would you allow an LGBT activist from Human Rights Campaign into your home to teach your child about questioning their gender and celebrating families with two mommies or two daddies? No? Well, Planned Parenthood and Human Rights Campaign are working in concert to push graphic sex education and promotion of abortion in public schools across our nation, and parents don’t even know about it.”
Johnston also pointed out that protesting the right to protect your children’s innocence is no different than protesting things like gun control. She pointed out that if parents can protest gun control, they should be able to protest explicit sex-ed classes.
“We send our kids to school to learn reading, writing, science and history, not how to have sex without getting caught or inconvenienced,” she said. “Stick to the biology of reproduction or we will pull our children out of schools permanently.”
The North Carolina Values Coalition is also encouraging parents to protest the sex-ed programs. Tami Fitzgerald, from the NC Values Coalition, stated that there are many people in the Charlotte area that do not approve of the new sex-ed curriculum. The Coalition has received phone calls from parents, teachers, and counselors in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools “saying ‘Please help us, you can’t believe what they’re teaching our kids in school.”
The NC Values Coalition also sent a letter to the school administrations explaining why they encouraged parents to keep their kids at home. The letter states that: “Pornographic sex education and anti-bullying curriculum is being implemented across our globe in an attempt to indoctrinate our children with ‘sexual rights’.”
The full letter can be read on the sexedsitout.com website.
There will also be a protest in Charlotte tonight from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center. The rally is to protest the schools Welcoming Schools program, which the school deems as “anti-bullying.”
In reality, the curriculum works to force the beliefs of the school on children without their parent’s consent. Tami Fitzgerald states that the curriculum was made, “intended to indoctrinate children as young as five about homosexuality, transgenderism and all other LGBT behaviors.”
The Sex Ed Sit Out website is informative as it lists their motives for their protests, along with a letter that parents can send to their child’s teacher or principal if they are participating. To learn more about it, or to get involved, click HERE.
