This morning, the UK’s Court of Appeals will hear one last appeal from the parents of Alfie Evans, who are seeking permission to transport their critically ill son abroad for treatment.

While every court proceeding leading up to this would give onlookers a reason to give up hope, one woman is pleading with the world to unite in prayer and fasting, calling on the only One who is still capable of rescuing Alfie at this point.
Last week, Faithwire introduced you to Robbie Kramer, a Kansas mother whose 26-year-old son, Keith, suffers from a condition similar to Alfie’s. Kramer, a strong woman of faith, has been one of little Alfie’s biggest advocates across the pond, and now, she’s asking others to join her in a time of prayer and fasting for the 23-month-old boy and his parents.
Mother of Severely Disabled 26-Year-Old: Alfie Evans Deserves More Than ‘Death With Dignity’
Kramer first issued the call via a Facebook post, in which she cited several biblical examples of grave situations in which faithful believers petitioned God to have mercy on the innocent victims of human wickedness.

“What did the people of Nineveh do? Donned sack cloth and fasted!” she writes. “Does anyone else see similarities to what Jesus went through repeating itself now with Alfie?”
“From the Holy Innocents deaths and the sorrow experienced by their parents, to the plea of Moses when he asks [Pharaoh] to ‘let my people go,’ to the hardened hearts of the people from which Pilate asks ‘what will you have me do with him?’ Crucify him, crucify him, crucify him they say,” she continues. “Only God’s intervention will save Alfie now.”
Mrs. Kramer goes on to implore all people of goodwill to forget what divides humans and “just come together to pray in unison, in one voice cry out to God for MERCY for JUSTICE for Alfie!”
The mother-of-three acknowledges that those working against Alfie Evans likely do not have a faith, and therefore have “[n]othing to guide their hearts and govern their minds but themselves and civil law.” People who are calling for the death of this innocent child and seeking to prevent his parents from assuming their God-given role as his protectors and defenders do so, Kramer says, because they “have no hope.”
Those who do have hope and are guided by the laws of the Author of Life must, therefore, advocate for this precious child and present their requests to God.
“Sack cloth and fasting people!!!!” she concludes.
Kramer herself composed a special prayer for Alfie earlier this week:
A beautiful prayer for #AlfieEvans written by mother Robbie Kramer, whose 26-year-old son has a similar condition but is ALIVE because doctors entrusted him to his parents' care. #PRAY pic.twitter.com/vSpkTQt5lD

Please, wherever you are today, say a prayer that Alfie Evans may be delivered from the hands of those who seek his destruction, and that justice may truly, finally, prevail.
